The Goon Line 003: Needs More Boom

I don’t really know about or get the movie genre that falls under the heading of “explosions,” and that is fine. Not everything is for me, and I don’t need to be an insufferable prig about it. (But I sure have been, and will be again!)

What I can appreciate is using robots to turn any scene from a movie into something you’d see in a Michael Bay film. Enter Needs More Boom.

Many of us, myself included, have spent a lot of time over the last couple of years reading about, tinkering with and becoming ever more afraid of the hot new AI tools, but this one brings me so much joy that I need to share and celebrate it. Moments after you input your movie scene of choice, you’ll be treated to a… well, treatment of said scene, exponentially boomier and Bay-ier.

I’ve done this now with like a dozen movies, and the absolute funniest one was, I’m really sorry to tell you, the funeral scene from Steel Magnolias.

Feels like a good timewaster for your Wednesday, no? I mean, I don’t have a job, so I’ll see you back here tomorrow after having painstakingly remade Call Me By Your Name into the summer blockbuster of 2024.
