The Goon Line 004: Franchesca Ramsey's apartment
Come for the paint jobs, stay for Flex
My personality is the human embodiment of the millennial gray interior aesthetic, and my sense of style isn’t much better. Lots of thinking I am designing my spaces like an incredibly interesting person who has an “eye,” and then feeling really validated when I walk into a West Elm.
I know this about myself, so I try to pay attention to how to be even a degree more sophisticated/textured/intriguing/cool. And nobody on the internet has been able to hit the “taking control of your living area” inspiration nail on the head for me like Franchesca Ramsey.
Today’s internet is the Apartment Therapy tour of Ramsey’s home. I was following her when she embarked on this redesign and was RAPT at how she transformed her space. This kind of boldness and confidence in and with one’s style and surroundings is really striking to me, and I literally love what she’s done with the place.

Like I said: stay for Flex
My spouse and I are now in the nascent stages of getting to make a house a little bit more “our own,” and I am trying to not aggressively act like the fourth Property Brother in doing so. Accounts like this one give me faith that I, too, can transcend millennial gray. Cute dogs must be pretty inspirational.
