The Goon Line 030: Tim Pearce at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History

A big thank you to my friend and Goon Line reader Laura for tipping me off to this absolutely delightful internet for your Friday. Slow (really, the slowest ) clap to her for introducing me to Dr. Tim Pearce , head of the MOLLUSK DEPARTMENT (!) at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History .

Dr. Pearce populates the museum’s Instagram and TikTok channels with fun facts and delightful jokes about all of the animals that live in his little kingdom, and I giggle at every single one of them. I love watching people who have this kind of enthusiasm for anything, because I only have it for balancing an iPad on my prone body while I rewatch Chad for the 300th time and try to not spill on the sheets as I pour kombucha into my open mouth.
