The Goon Line 030: Tim Pearce at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History

A big thank you to my friend and Goon Line reader Laura for tipping me off to this absolutely delightful internet for your Friday. Slow (really, the slowest) clap to her for introducing me to Dr. Tim Pearce, head of the MOLLUSK DEPARTMENT (!) at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

Dr. Pearce populates the museum’s Instagram and TikTok channels with fun facts and delightful jokes about all of the animals that live in his little kingdom, and I giggle at every single one of them. I love watching people who have this kind of enthusiasm for anything, because I only have it for balancing an iPad on my prone body while I rewatch Chad for the 300th time and try to not spill on the sheets as I pour kombucha into my open mouth.
