The Goon Line 048: Richard Splett supercut
BRING. BACK. MY. PIG.
Remember the golden era of prestige television? When our DVRs could barely contain all of our shows, when Lost was actually good, when Sunday nights were so full of appointment viewing that we could almost forget about our Scaries? These days I just watch Vanderpump and 30 Rock so much that they have turned into white noise.
Veep was one of these appointment television programs. I miss it so much. Everyone was so breathtakingly mean, slinging uproarious insults only ever matched, for my money, by Succession.
But one beautiful little soul, someone so pure of heart that he was perpetually unscathed by the human nightmares surrounding him, shone brightest of all: the sweet, guileless Richard Splett. Another of my white noise videos really is this one — a whole hour of Richard. I love him so much. He is perfect.
Sam Richardson is also just so, so, so great in everything I have seen him in; please try to find a way to watch both Detroiters and Champaign ILL, two delightful shows in which he stars. I might even make an appointment to watch them this weekend.
