The Goon Line 025: Max Silvestri's Rachael vs. Guy recaps
What about a macaroni salad?
If you have known me for more than 30 seconds, and/or if you have known me on the internet at all, you’ll probably be surprised that it took me so long to share this here. It is an article so spectacular that I make it a part of my own personality when I am ever pressed for some sort of icebreaker content. It is from 2012, when the internet barely existed. And it is perfect.
Please read it immediately: It is a recap of the first episode of “Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cookoff.”

Not even a 90s sitcom could do a 90s sitcom press photo pose this well
Max Silvestri, already famous around these parts, wrote a content series recapping this Food Network program that pitted “celebrity” “chefs” against one another as they competed on different “teams” led by other “chefs.” We live(d) in incredible times. I think about and/or quote this article at least three times a week. It is, very honestly, in my top 10 internets of all time. I’ll encourage you to read the entire series (still available on Grantland! RIP!), but this debut was a chef’s kiss. Sorry, “chef’s” kiss.
I’d like you to spend some time this weekend thinking of what your top 10 internets are, and then sending them to me so I don’t have to source daily content for this dumbfuck newsletter any longer. JUST KIDDING I LOVE IT. Have a beautiful weekend, and I’ll see you on Monday with a heaping portion of internet-shaped Fatone’s Camarones.

He’s watching. Do your homework.
